Great Commission

Evangelism and missions are the lifeblood of any church, but unfortunately, many churches become so consumed with their internal affairs that they lose sight of their outward purpose. However, we firmly believe in fulfilling Acts 1:8, which calls us to reach people within our communities and across our state, nation, and the world. The Smyrna Baptist Association is prepared to help churches reach people with the gospel.

Determine the Mission

Compass

Our mission is the Great Commission. Often, churches lose their way and become inwardly focused rather than outwardly determined to reach people with the gospel. Loving and leading people to Jesus is what Christ has directed us to do. The mission is not inside the church building but to the people God has placed in our lives and those who will never know unless we go.

Develop the Leaders

For churches to have a Great Commission mindset, they must have leaders with that conviction. Training and mentoring leaders within a congregation is essential to the mission. The association is here to provide the resources and guidance needed for leaders to have a heartfelt conviction to reach people.

Discover the Possibilities

With a world filled with people who need Jesus, we need to discover who we are going to reach and how we are going to go about this. Both individually and as a church opportunities abound near and far to pray, give, and go. To have a better understanding of what the possibilities are for a church, we are here to walk with churches to discover how they can carry out the Great Commission.
